![]() ![]() The police believe he is Shinda. Then the girl on the plane Jasmine after just meeting him once, is fully convinced of his innocence and brings a lawyer from LA who is Indian, and goes out of his way to help Indians. Shinda who has killed 2 cops and 3 other people, was presumed dead in a house bombing. After landing at LAX Ekam is arrested and then he finds out that his face resembles a gangster named Shinda. Story wise the film is about a boy named Ekam who is heading to LA from Punjab on a student visa, on the plane he falls in love with a girl. But this film will be a set back for a emerging Punjabi industry, because Faraar will be a huge flop and entail huge loses for the industry. ![]() I applauded Balajit Singh Deo for his last film HNYR because the Punjabi industry where churning out comedy after comedy, and he tried something different, even though that film was far from being good. Faraar is his worst film, the story is completely illogical, the film is slow, and its so boring that HNYR looked like a classic infront of Faraar. See with Baljit Singh Deo in all his films whether it was the recently released HNYR or Mirzia he just cares about making his films look stylish, he wants them to look like a bi product of Hollywood standards, and he succeeds to some level with this film too, but like his previous films Faraar also has no substance. Football then was the sport of the English and Indians were strictly prohibited from not only playing the game but also setting foot on the ground.Sometimes a movie can be so traumatic that one thinks twice before watching a film with a similar actor, director etc in the future.I guess I might have learned my lesson, before analyzing Faraar I'll just state that the movie was utter trash, and horrible. The film starts with the young Nagendra having a mind of his own and showing a love for football from a very early age. The team refused to bow to the prevalent caste discrimination and its face-off with the colonial masters went way deeper than the sport – it symbolized the colonial India taking on the mighty Empire in all its enormity and strength. The film shines light on his life and how he created a team of Indian footballers whom he pitted against the British. Golondaaj is the story of Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, the father of Indian football. The film stars Dev, Alexx O’Nell, Anirban Bhattacharya, Ishaa Saha, Indrasish Roy, John Bhattacharya, Mirchi Agni & Srikanta Acharya. Golondaaj is a 2021 Indian Bengali-language period sports drama film directed by Dhrubo Banerjee and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of SVF. ![]()
